The Mẹ Senior Program, in association with Metta for Life, is dedicated to supporting elderly individuals in Hue, Vietnam — many of whom live alone, face poverty, and lack access to basic care. Friends of Hue volunteers regularly visit seniors in their homes, providing essential supplies while offering companionship, care, and dignity.
Through this program, FHF has provided wheelchairs, walkers, and canes to seniors with mobility challenges, built toilets for those without basic sanitation, and extended financial assistance to help cover daily living needs.
Beyond direct support, the Mẹ Senior Program also serves as a meaningful learning experience — with shelter children participating in visits and caregiving activities, fostering compassion, community service, and deep respect for elders.
