Like any other developing country globally, Vietnam had tremendously suffered and still suffering because of the fear and uncertainties caused by the Coronavirus. And while the economy is at a standstill and the people are hurting financially, emotionally, and mentally while quarantined at home, Central Vietnam was struck by the worst floods they had in decades in October 2020. One storm after the other caused landslides and devastating floods that displaced tens of thousands of people and ruined their properties and livelihood.
Promoting the spirit of solidarity of the nation, FHF has supported the community in Hue during severe floods. Each gift given brings happy tears, bright smiles and loving hugs.
At the time of this tragic disaster, FHF was there to support these distressed communities. We conducted series of relief programs giving the affected districts food supplies and cash assistance. These were 921 households that received aid. In November and December 2020,FHF continued to support Thua Thien Hue and its neighboring provinces rebuild what they’ve lost by giving 521 gifts, with the value of each gift is 1 million dong.
